Ministries
Kid's Camp
In a community that has been sometimes forgotten, we developed a program to minister to the needs of the children who are seeking a place to connect with other kids, a place to cool off, a place to have fun and explore talents. We offer warm meals, bible lessons, bible trivia, tee shirts and crafts and other fun activities. In 2008 we had our 2nd successful Kid’s Camp, CAAK (Coping As A Kid).
Clothing Ministry/Food Drive
Our clothing ministry is a live and vibrant part of our mission. We offer clothing and food based on an individual needs assessment. We usually have clothes and food available at all times; however, our clothing and food drives are held around specific occasions such as back to school, Christmas and other designated times. This is an on-going effort and we expect to help several families during the holiday season.
Senior Nursing Home Ministry
Our senior Mother Rosie Augurson is a very viable and strong woman of God who visits withSouthern Acres Nursing Home on Tuesday @ 2:00p.m. where the word of God is being preached and the love of God shared to the residents.
Young Men Fellowship
This fellowship is an organized group of young men who have developed brotherly love for each other through fishing, dining, bowling, golf and playing pool.
Josiah Generation
On-Going Mentoring Program This program is designed to teach young people the wisdom of God through everyday life applications.
Prison Ministry
We have a remarkable prison ministry. Pastor Gary Levine actively participates in prison ministry at OCC, Green Oaks Juvenile Detention Center, Swanson Center for Youth and Conway Work Release Center. He also just recently participated in a 2 day revival at Winn Parish Correctional Facility and a seminar at David Hoyle’s Rehabilitation Center.
